He said it’s not really a big deal to me to sell it at this time. Once that Gobi group buy comes back he’ll get on that, then I..he’ll sell the TRD Pro rack.

I think I have narrowed it down to the southern style offroad rack or the full Baja roof basket. I will be adding a ladder to the back after I get the rack added.

Ok, ladders look cool, for sure, but it depends on what you're putting up there. For example, where I'll be going in Northern Canada, you need a second spare, and I plan on putting mine on the roof. Try imagine yourself climbing any ladder you're considering with a 33" load range E BFG in your hand and swinging it up onto the roof by yourself. Maybe you're a super strong guy/gal, or maybe you're just average like me, but think about it. Also, a lot of ladders are steel, and by the time you add all the accessories to them, your hatch will only hold itself open with extra heavy duty struts. If you have a better half or a child that needs to close that hatch from time to time, it may now be too stiff for them to close. I'm not trying to be negative, but like all mods its something to think over.
Even though I like a cargo ladder, I ended up going with a Front Runner ladder that connects to their brackets and slides into a small carry bag for stowing in the back of the vehicle. You can move it wherever you need it, and it goes all the way from the ground to the rack and the load force is mostly on the ground for when I have to load and unload a tire up there.

Great thoughts about the ladder. Never really thought how heavy it would make the door.

you don’t have your spare wheel and tire under the vehicle? I keep a spare wheel with a 285/70/17 M/T tire in the original location and fits fine.

I looked at pretty well all the options, and decided I wanted a platform style rack - no sides. I ended up with a Front Runner, because it has a lot of accessories, and its quite easy to make a lot of those brackets yourself. I can put sides on it if i need to, which i haven't needed to yet. Its super strong and expedition proof. Mine is a 3/4 because that's all i needed and I didn't want a contraption covering the sun roof. It's also remarkably quiet. In fact very quiet. Maybe a whisper at highway speeds. It comes with a wind deflector that works great.

I went with LFD 7/8 full rack. Painted the bolts black and I am in love with hit. 4 week wait but so worth it.
