4runner: Trd Pro Roof Rack... its new, I'll add more :D Tacoma: Trd Exhaust, Trd Intake, Trd Pro rims, Cali Raised Fogs, Spyder Headlights, KO2 265/70/17... most importantly: Trd Shift Knob
Not all, just like other options but it is something that can come already built in in 2020. However if it wasn't optioned in in the factory it can be added later.

Routed the cables through the weather stripping and down the outside of the window seal, under some trim at the hood and into the he engine bay. Got them up and running the next morning once I found s good power source for the switches in the internal fuse box. I’ll grab a picture today and post it.

    Yeah, fair enough.

Like I said, I wasn't trying to start shit. I hadn't looked at them close enough to see "Lock" and "unlock" written on them. All I saw was an up and a down arrow.

The grille is from DB Customz. Great grille but limited choices with 4runner as he does more Tacoma and tundra grilles. Great quality product though, 4 years and going strong!

Been offline a few days... New tires (Toyo AT3's), detailed it up, and drove 900 miles north to BFE Vermont for a few days of R&R...

Took a different route home the other day. Technically speaking I never even went offroad... but there was a sign saying the road may be impassible. I'm glad the door seals work (note the solid line of mud at the bottom of the doors). Cleaning off the mud was a pain - engine bay was a disaster.IMG_2546.jpg

I also decided to check my brakes. The inner pads are almost gone and the outers look almost new! Anyone else get such terrible wear? I'm thinking a caliper rebuild will be in order soon.

I wouldn't rebuild them, too rusty. Replace with remanufactured ones from NAPA or Carquest/Advance Auto since those carry Lifetime Warranty.

I figured the outside will be rusty but the insides should be ok for a rebuild. I haven't looked at pricing any new calipers out yet but if they're cheap enough I might just go all new. I'm wondering if this is a common problem for the 4runners and if replacing with OEM parts might be a mistake.

Edit: Called the local stealership and they want $411(CDN) per caliper!!! Rebuilding the calipers myself with parts from them would only save $140 per side. So I'm going to be looking aftermarket calipers or rebuild kits for sure.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
Washed it and got the road grime and bugs from my North Carolina trip off of it.

130 AMP OEM Alternator? How difficult was removal and install? How long?

This is not OEM. I removed the stock 120 amp alternator. This is a Singer alternator. 250amp. But it is made to fit in the stock location, and is plug and play.

It wasnt too bad just had to remove the battery to get enough room. Took a little over an hour. Most of the time trying to figure out what extension would work and how to reach the mounting bolts LOL

My eBay TRDP Grille arrived today. Install was easy enough and everything appears to be of good quality. It's not exactly centered but I'm still happy. $65 well spent.

I’m not sure of the noise vs the Dunlop’s, as I immediately had a set of M/T’s put on before I even took delivery of mine. I will tell you they’re VERY quiet. I drove through the entire state of Virginia in pouring rain ahead of the hurricane. As a 15 year vet of the tire industry, I’m impressed

Got my steering wheel replaced under warranty.
    20200806_113442.jpg

...as the old one was peeling like a cheap bonded leather couch. It was obviously cheaper in labor to replace steering wheel than put a new wrap on...but the DIY side of me feels like that was wasteful.

    20200803_090500.jpg

So it goes without saying that this was not a full grain leather wrap on the steering wheel. New one feels more vinyl like....maybe because it's new.

Mine is doing that too, didn't really think about sending it back to the dealer under warranty. Guess this will be on my long list of crap to do.

3 year bumper to bumper. Use it or lose it.

It seems to be a hit or miss issue. It will be interesting to see if it becomes more wide spread in the next year with all the hand sanitizer out there. It wouldn't surprise me if it breaks down the wraps if you grip the wheel before it dries.
