On the hunt for the ORP

Hi! I’m new! Wife and i are looking for a trd orp. Dealers are low on inventory. I only located 2 in my area and got a deal but we decided to explore more options as we want a white one and they dont have it. My question is this: it is wise to wait a little bit or maybe to wait till next year to get a good deal on the orp? We are not hurry and we can wait as much as needed to get the 4r we want.

 

Yes. Dealers know there is a shortage and demand is high.

 

ORP 2020 T4Rs are not available around here. We were happy to find the one we wanted a few months ago, one of the last on the dealer's lot.
Exactly when new stock, 2020 or 2021 will show up from the factory in Japan is anyone's guess. These are unusual times.
If you find what you want, it may be a good idea to grab and enjoy it.

 

White and silver on the lot here in town this past week. Not sure if they still are because I haven’t looked since then. Pretty rare to see two of them here though. Dealer here is lucky to even get 1 Pro a year. Seems SR5 is flooding most lots I’ve seen.

We just took delivery of our white ORP yesterday(8-7-20) and when looking around in the lot I mentioned to our salesman that the lot looked like a ghost town, he said they were down 60 percent or so on inventory. The dealership traded another dealership to get our white one, it was from Chicago area and we live in central Wis. Best of luck on your search, hope you find one.

I waited for a white off-road premium, with sunroof and KDSS and have no regrets.

 

I bought an ORP last week. I think I actually got a good deal on it. It was on the lot for over 90 days, and I think they wanted to move it. The MSRP was 44k plus the BS dealer addons. I got it for 38,300+TTL. Something like 14% off MSRP.

If you can't find anything, I would just wait until they get inventory back up, you'll have a better chance at finding what you want, and a better deal.

Here in Texas we have 13 ORP in a 500 mile radius, and that's only if the stock info is correct. I went to four different dealers, and all of them had way less inventory then they had online. I think they don't want to clean up the inventory online because they want to draw people into the dealership, and if people knew what they really had on the lot people wouldn't visit them.

They only player for me had it on the lot for 90 plus days. This might have been the reason I got such a good deal. Key in on the days on lot. Car gurus will tell you days on lot. Good luck.

 

I got mine ordered about 3 weeks ago or so, ETA from Japan on the dealer lot Sept 8-12.
2020 OR. I am in Ontario, Canada.
They expect the 2021s Oct or so.

 

A dealer told me that they are expecting one in 3-4 days. I’m gonna push for a 12% off msrp. Fingers cross!

 

12% off msrp sounds very bold in a market that’s totally drained of product. Good luck. I was able to get 5%.

 

I got a 5.8% and today about a 10%.

 

14% but mine sat for 90 days. I also bought mine at the end of the month. It might pay to wait till then.

 

You guys are probably in the US. Canada here. Couldn’t get any better as there were no white TRD off-road at the time in the province. US price I paid: 36,798.

 

South Florida here. Dealers are fighting for sales and there is not much to choose.

 

all I have seen left around my house in the bay area are limiteds.

 

I really want the premium but i could consider the or. It is best to wait for a orp or the off road will do just fine?
