Hey everyone. I just picked up on a '95 v6 4x4 with 173,000 miles. She looks new. All original. Old lady sold it because her husband had a stroke 10 years ago and it's been parked from that day. I took about a gallon of tar like stuff out of tank flushed everything. Injectors we're clogged. Replaced those with 4hole up grades. Now my trany won't shift out of 1st.

Oh. I found some rat wires on top the tranny and found the receipt for a trany solenoid. Popped the pan. Fluid looks new. Smells not exactly right. I think the wires go to the speed sensor drivers sidejsidejust in front of the transfer case.

I was going to say you have a bad sensor. I had one go out and it wouldn't shift out of first. Has it thrown any codes?

No codes. I'm kinda suspicious about that. Even the clogged injectors didn't pop a code. I tried the paper clip trick and still nothing..but the computer is working or the new injectors wouldn't work right? I check before I installed them. It's getting a pulse signal. Right on top of the tranny I found two wires the rats clipped. I think the speed sensor. Are the ECU and tranny computer two separate devices?

Ok. Well I guess I'm going to pull the computer out and have a gander at it. I have multiple issues and getting no code. Leads me to suspect computer problems. Also going to air check the solenoids and check the throttle position sensor. Anyone have any other ideas about the no upshift issue?
