Hey Folks, Yes, I searched the Forum and UTube to no avail. I am a gearhead, but do not know much on auto trans. Quick history: Trans rebuilt 4k ago, worked great, engine rebuilt 2k ago, now trans issues. After engine rebuild trans has 2 issues (I think my Now Former mechanic may have messed up cable location or something). #1. driving up slight incline or hill trans will not kickdown, even mashing the throttle pedal. I know where the trans cable is, next to the throttle cable, i tightened the trans tension about 1/4 inch tighter, thought better but more or less the same issue. ?tighten or loosen more? Not much slack in it now. #2. driving on a flat highway, old scenario (before engine rebuild) at 65mph, tach would be around 2,100 rpm. New scenario after new engine install: 70% of time 2,100 rpm at 65mph, and same road 30% of the time 2,800 rpm at 65mph. Are there any other external adjustments i could make/ or replace? Throttle sensor may be original, 26yrs old 275,000 miles. Any advise would be appreciated. Since I am on a roll, #3, 4K on trans rebuild, warm and running dip stick check i was low 1 Qt. It is a closed system, no leaks, pan and hoses, radiator fluid is clear Toyota red, no foaming mush. Where did it go???
Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.
    THANKS,
    Sean

V6? At 65mph I am at around 3K rpm. What is your rpm at idle?

Yes, V6. Idle RPM 700. I use to get approximately 190 mi per tank, down now to between 160 and 180. Remember I have/had 31s. Speedo off by about 4mph checked it against GPS...
