c1_0008x_DxO2.jpg I set the fronts at 1.75, and stock height in the back, and it sits dead level. Really happy with it!

Dang, nice! I was on the fence between silver and MGM, I really like a silver 4Runner. Good job with the lift, and welcome.

Looks great! Are you running stock tire size, or have you upgraded?

After a couple days to think it over i decided to order bilstein 5100s for front and rear. I am thinking of going 1.75" for the front and getting the bilstein b12 1.5" coils for the rear. With that said...
    a) that will level out the 4r right?
    b) does anyone know if any other parts will be needed or recommended with this setup?

    a) No, that will lift both front and back about the same. You'll have a straight up lift, not a level (front lift only to level out).
    b) I'd watch some videos, it's labor intensive but not super hard if you're mechanically inclined.

So knowing I want to go 1.75 for the front whats the best option for the rear to level it. I see alot about 1 inch spacer in the rear.. whats the best option considering ride quality and performance?

So the truck has 2 to 2.5 inches of rake from the factory, meaning it's lower in the front than the back. This accounts for towing and hauling heavy stuff, which causes the back to squat and level out.

A leveling package is when you lift JUST the front, so the truck looks level without a load. So you would do nothing in the rear, you'd leave it alone so you can lift the front 1.75" and level it out. Hence the name.

Just be warned if you tow or haul heavy stuff, that might mean when you do that, you'll have your nose sit high, which would make your headlights point into the trees, and the steering feel light.

Physics be damned! If your 4Runner has a forward rake, and your headlights are aimed correctly and you load the back end and bring the nose up, you will be shining on the same spot in the trees as my leveled, headlights aimed correctly, rear end loaded 4Runner, .......trust me my friend.

So as far as the rear goes is it recommended to get a 1inch longer spring assuming they make one? Or the spacer or just stock coil with the 5100 and call it a day?

For my level, I put Bilstein 5160's in the back with the factory springs and no adjustment.

I put some airbags in mine and it kinda solved both problems. it's easy on the 4Runner too!

so if you just get the 5100s, it be leveled if you add bigger sarongs to the rear it'll lift the truck. meaning you'll still have front rake

Yeah, that will be the same amount of rake all around, just 1" higher everywhere.

When I raised the front of mine with an Elka system, it was set at the factory default if 1 1/2” which the Elka guys said would be level. I added a small 1/2” Cornfed spacer to the rear of the stock springs to give it a very so imperceptible positive rake. It actually turned out perfectly level - depending on how you judge that.
I actually tried to change the rear springs, in order not to use a spacer, at one point I had an adjustable rear spring ordered from Eibach. But the reviews on here said it gave upwards of 2”, and I really didn’t want an ungainly rear high stance. That’s the problem with rear springs, they all give >1”. That’s where a small spacers works well.
With my modest lift, I run stock tire size, which I prefer.
It doesn’t take much lift to make a Toyota 4 Runner or Tacoma look good.

I put the daystar level kit ... yes its not a suspension upgrade with the shocks and coils but mine became completely level.I absolutely love it. it didn't change ride quality actually made it better IMO.

.5 - .75 Cornfed will do it, giving you a very slight positive rake.
