    Update.

    Moved 5100's from .85 to 2.5.

I would like to debunk any and all worries about the 5100's getting stiffer the higher you go. It simply is not true.

Now INITIALLY right after install the front shocks will feel rock hard. I drove it around my complex twice and then parked it in the garage overnight. When i drove it the next day it had settled overnight and feels the same as it did at .85.

I have not realigned it since my work is less than 2 miles away and I have rear daystar's on their way for this next Saturday early morning install. Probably the weekend after this i will have it aligned at the dealer.

The only thing I noticed about the 2.5 setting is that it somehow feels more refined without added stiffness.......then again this could be that the rear still has stock height and this will probably change after the rear daystar spacer.

Lastly I thought it would look goofy with 265's but it looks just fine.

Realize this thread is a year old, but wondering if you have an update? Had my bilsteins installed last week, was wanting 1.75” setting but shop set it to top setting. Trying to find option for rear to level, I came across this thread. I think mine rides/handles fine but am in my head reading forever that people hate the ride of the Bilsteins at the top height. Looking at adding some springs and maybe shocks to the rear to 1-1.5” level. Are you still liking your bilsteins at the top setting? Did you end up sticking with the daystars?

I have mine at max setting of 2.5 up front

if you like the way it feels now I’d put in a day star 1.5 inch spacer in the rear

    that’s what I did.

I originally did .85 in the front with stock rear.

that shit got old quick. I moved the front to 2.5 and the rear to 1.5 with the day star rear spacer. feels exactly the same. I’ve come from driving sports cars so I can feel the most insignificant change in handling and I can’t tell the difference going higher. Don’t be fooled it FEELS stiffer right away but let it sit overnight and it will feel the same as .85.

    hope this helps.
