Rear window will not track

Hey everyone, the rear window of my 4 runner kinda goes up and down. The motor works but it requires assistance to go up but the motor does push it. The problem is that when I go to roll it down the motor works and lowers but the window stays up. When I try to push it down it drops like there's nothing underneath untill it hits the motor. It feels like it's off of some kind of track or that's it's become detached. Does anyone know how I reset the window or fix the problem. Also I can only make the motor work when I use the key in the back, the front button does not work. Is their a common wiring issue?

There is a great video on rear window maintenance on YouTube. You can try it yourself, if all else fails take it to a window tent/stereo install/car electrician shop. Definitely worth the money to have that thing working.
