This broke on my driver side, I know it's a part to the frame. What are my options for a fix??? What's the part itself called? I know these things are known for rust which sucks. What should I do?

The connecting bar is your rear link, but what broke off is a chunk of your frame. I would imagine it can be welded, but I’m no frame expert but I would imagine it isn’t safe to drive until that hole is fixed.

A competent fabricator might be able to box and gusset the area of that frame back in to fix it; but I would have concerns about the condition of the frame in other areas.

The better/safer long term solution would be a frame swap.

Yup, rust never sleeps. It looks crystalline. What does the rest look like? Probably junk. If the vehicle is worth it, and you have the skill and inclination, you could swap the frame out. I’ve never done this myself, but it’s done commonly in Toyota dealerships, and some of the techs there specialize in frame swaps and are pretty good at it. There should be lots of frames available for this gen of 4 Runner.

Yeah, that's not going to be the only bad spot on that frame.

I'd hate to see the supports for the top of the rear shocks.
