This is my first white car, and want to start things out right. What wax would you recommend using? Planning on a wash and wax when I first bring her home from the dealer. Thank you for the help!

I would start with clay bar at minimum, they have liquid clay with rust remover works wonders. After that paint correction if needed and either real ceramic, spray on ceramic or at minimum good grade synthetic. Carnuba wax is long or should be gone.
I'm lazy and use meguires spray on rinse off clay

The ceramic is intriguing. Any suggestions on brands? Thank you

Best wax ever I try to keep 2-3 tubs available at all times!! LOL just kidding who would spend that on wax?????????????????

I use Klasse to seal then any carnauba wax. I have used the newish turtle wax spray its very shiny.

I would spray a light mist of an iron remover, rinse thoroughly, clay bar, wash, then do a ceramic or at least a ceramic infused wax.

I know there are a ton of varying opinions on which products are best; personally I've always used Adam's stuff with good results. For simplicity and ease of application, you could do their SI02 infused liquid wax. It's not a full on ceramic, but will last a lot longer than your typical carnuba wax. It's also very easy and forgiving to apply.

Remember you truly do get what you pay for... There's more expensive wax than that out there. The spray on "stuff" looks good and beads ok for a month that's about it in my opinion. Yeah it may be a lot quicker to apply just spray and wipe off but your doing that way more often... That's what the dealerships use on delivery of a new vehicle their certainly not screwing around with a 4 hour paste wax job on every car delivered, time is money.

I have always used Adams products as well, and I think they are a good balance between cost and quality. Just my 2c.

After I go through the car wash I use spray wax that you wipe and dry off. Keeps it slick until the next time I go through to keep grime from sticking on. Costs me a whole $6 and lasts me about 3 months.

Wax? Hmmm... so much dust and bugs here, I'm lucky to just keep the windshield clean! When I lived in a better environment, I was a Maguire's spray on wipe off guy.

Did your paperwork show the Permaplate treatment? We just picked up a 2020 yesterday but I have to follow up on the treatment. It was pretty busy yesterday.

I’ve read a lot of good reviews of the new Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Coating (by turtle wax). Haven’t tried it yet though.

I just use Turtle wax paste...."old school cool. " It looks fine, and shines for months. I;m not going to any car shows. It s a truck. Just washing it once in awhile is a big deal!

I just started using this and I'm pretty happy with it. It's surely not as nice as a true ceramic coating, but pretty good results for the effort.

I just used the ceramic hybrid spray and wipe off after a wash. $8 on Amazon and for the money it’s pretty good, leaves a nice deep shine and a slick finish.
Seems to be a decent lineup of products that’ll perform great for the money.

mines silver...but I claybarred it and used Collinite when I first got it in June of 2019, still beaded up and shed dirt pretty easily up until March or so of this year, so I re-applied. Pretty happy with it so far. Really easy to use.

Back when I ran Miatas, I used to fuss with the full Zaino treatment. Now I'm too dang busy. Plus, the 4Runner has acres of sheet metal, whereas the Miata was tiny.

So it's clay bar, then two coats of this stuff. Seals well and lasts for months. Only takes about 30 minutes to apply two coats. A very good, very easy, very affordable product.

And let's be honest: If you're regularly washing your rig by hand, and then applying any kind of wax or sealant, you are far ahead of 99% of owners who just run their car through the auto-wash at the gas station.

You may want to look inside your glove box for an application product. Per the instructions, your limited warranty is void unless you use that product for the first two years... I thought this was strange but I have a tube in my glove box that suggests so.

I would skip traditional wax and get professionally applied ceramic coating. It basically acts as wax, but its permanent. I have used Opticoat on all of my vehicles and have been very impressed with it. There are several different brands, but just find a good detailer in your area and use whatever they use. The key is prepping the paint for ceramic coating, not the actual product... so a competent detailer is most important. Worth the $$$ imo!

I don't have a white one. So, I am not going to recommend you any product. But in my experience, Turtle wax is good as a brand for waxing products.
