does toyota offer extended warranty through toyota (not 3rd party)

does Toyota itself offer an extended warranty to purchase (in Florida)

It is my understanding that the dealers in Florida only offer plans for purchase through 3rd party companies such as Fidelity Warranty Services

is this true ?

(our dodge that we bought we were offered an extended warranty through Dodge/Chrysler itself---not a third party)

The Toyota dealership I purchased from told me to get the warranty from them because it was a "Toyota warranty" as opposed to getting it from my insurance company which might not have covered all Toyota parts. Every dealership might be different. I got the 7 year, $0 deductible extended warranty. I was able to knock off $2000 from their price by threatening to get it from my insurance company.

 

BTW---how much did you pay

 

I think it was like 2-3k for 100k mike factory extended warranty. I got mine for free because the dealership fucked me over on some stuff

 

****Florida Toyota stores are apart of Southeast Toyota. (Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South/North Carolina) S.E.T is owned by JM&A which also owns Fidelity Warranty Services. The Platinum Service Contract (extended warranty) is as close to your standard 3year/36K mile warranty that Toyota provides. This one can by used by any licensed mechanic in North America. I have a 8year/120K mile plan on my 2020 4Runner. Yes, I work at a Toyota store in Alabama.

how much was your 8 year/120K mile plan ?? -- was it platinum and 0 deduct?

 

$1500 for 7 year $0 deductible but I had to haggle with them. First I got a quote from my insurance company (Mercury) and used that to haggle. They wanted $3500 initially, I said hell no.

 

I live in St. Louis and bought my warranty online through Jennifer Taylor at Wolverine Toyota in Michigan. I actually just purchased it in March for my 2020 Limited. They were BY FAR the cheapest Toyota Platinum $0 deducible warranty. I paid $970 for a 7 year / 100k mile warranty. The purchasing dealer wanted double. I found her contact info at another 4runner forum. happy to share her info if you message me.

 

You can add any toyota extended warranty as long as it's under factory warranty.
