I'm coming up on 10,000 miles and soon the maintenance warning will not turn off, based on my experience at 5,000 miles.

I still have Toyota maintenance until 25,000 miles, but afterward I'll have to pay them a shit ton just to clear that stupid 5,000 interval warning.

Is there an easy ways for us to clear that 5,000 interval warning ourselves?

On the odometer knob press in the knob while it is in the Trip A viewing while same time you click the key to on position. There's a bar that counts down in the gauge cluster. That will clear the maintenance required reminder.

Thank you posting that @A&P Here is a search parameter for you folks to use for any of your questions about your trucks. Type in your question in your browsers regular Google search bar, and then follow it with this parameter:
    site:4runners.com/
I have it stored in a doc folder or a memo note on my phone and just copy/paste it in the Google bar.
    So here is an example:
    maintenance light reset site:4runners.com/
What pops up is in this LINK.
There are multiple threads on this very subject.
Most of your questions can be answered this way.
Good Luck and get out there off road with these fine 4x4s.

It actually tells you how to do it in your owners manual. I just did it for my 30k service.

Yes it does. Another less friendly forum would have at least one RTFM post.
