Just joined the 4Runner forum so I can help AZTrails when she buys her 4Runner. First mod may be a power lift for the hatch and then a ladder to be able to access the solar panels she is transferring from her RAV4. I found a very nice power lift build after a quick search. It seems the Toyota forum families are filled with super friendly, kind and helpful people. So I feel very good about being able to learn from such a great group. Thanks.

    ThatBassGuy,
The solar panels were originally put on her Rav4. Fabricated some mounts to attach them to the roof rack. They lay flat while traveling and can be angled to the sun when stopped. Should be fairly easy to transfer them to the 4runner, but we’ll see. She uses a portable solar battery “kit”, often referred to as solar generators, to power stuff in her Aliner.
