Hello all I’m new to this club so to speak lol...Anyway it’s been six months since I first got my 2016 forerunner SR5 premium which I totally love Coming from a Toyota Tacoma TRD off-road. I’m planning to upgrade my runner little by little. I started with a TRD grill with raptor lights. TRD CAI which looks bad ass but I’m wondering what kind of suspension do I have ? Does anyone know? I plan on lifting it about 3 inches in the future and upgrading wheels and tires. Any-who if anyone knows please let me know. Thanks y’all

Same suspension as all the 4Rs besides the Pro.

For the most part of course. A stock 4R can do more than most think.

And the Off Roads (formerly Trail depending on year) with the KDSS system, sway bars are part of the suspension.

You have Tokico shocks and struts.

They are fine for some but leave others wanting more. I found them to be bouncy and a bit too soft for the 4Runner.

As a result, I switched out my front struts to Eibach's and am very happy with the ride quality. More positive, controlled dampening without being too firm. They also have the ability to lift the front of your vehicle should you choose to do so.

Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
Same suspension as my 2019 Off Road / non-KDSS. I couldn't stand the body roll and replaced it with an Eibach Pro Truck Lift (4 springs and 4 shocks). Now it's a pleasure to drive on and off road.
