Looking to see what others paid "out the door" for a 2020 TRD-OR

I understand that FL taxes might be different than other states
I've searched numerous threads and it is unclear to me if the price that others said they paid (37 to 38) was the "out the door" price
I understand that FL taxes might be different than other states

    Looking at purchasing
2020 White TRD-OR (not a pro or premium)
has NO upgrades - basic model
    MSRP is 41,159
dealer quoted 41,244 out the door price

Is it reasonable to say that I can get a deal 37 out the door ?

I changed some lights, tires and tinted windows...mind blowing huh
that is still gonna vary a lot, the prices fluctuate based on regions not just in the taxes. Is yours 4wd?

I found a ‘19 used, right now what you want is the private seller who needs to get out of the payments with a small cash down.
If the economy is in the toilet; take advantage of it- you will spend more time but you can save possibly 10k for your effort and patience.
Find the needle who has 28 on the title and give them 3k to let go...

If the MSRP is around that, they probably paid around 35-36. I used to work for a Toyota and when my wife and I got our 2020 Predator, we paid 34,500 for the actual vehicle. MSRP was a tad under 42. Hope that helps. I don't remember what taxes and everything came out to cause we paid it up front.

This was in Central Florida, also.

My 2020 TRD Off Road OTD price was $39,421 but I also had the premium stereo package, TRD all weather mats, and All weather trunk mat.

    MSRP: $41,748
    Pre-tax/fees: $36,479

My 2020 TRD Off Road Premium with the sunroof package, running boards, door guards, TRD all weather mats was around $39,500 for the sales price (MSRP was a bit over $44k). After taxes and title fees, was about $42k OTD.

Bought my 2019 OR, for $31.5k in Greensboro, NC (I live in VA). It had only 20k miles on it. I've been looking for months and found this one. There was a silver and red one on the lot still. The vehicle is pristine. I'm pretty happy with the price.

That is how it’s done- 20 k is nothing for these vehicles!
Is that worth 50cents a mile?

Worth every penny. Price was too good. That’s why it’s in my driveway. Lol

I'd personally never go by what others say they paid. I'm not pointing fingers at anyone here, but for some reason some people feel the need to lie to strangers about how much they really spent. Add that to the prices varying everywhere, taxes, people not mentioning their down payment, their trades etc... You really can't go by what others say unless they show you the full paperwork.

I'm in North Central Florida. I stopped by the dealership last week to look. The cheapest 2020 4runner was an SR5 4x4 with cloth seats and no sun roof... They wanted 42K. They had another SR5 with leather and sun roof, they wanted 43k AND IT WAS 2WD!
The one pro they had was 54.... An ORP was 49.

I paid 35K OTD after all fees with gap for an SR5 in 2019... It was listed at 40K. BUT... I traded in a Tacoma that I owed 29K for and they gave me 33k for it. See... Extenuating circumstances...

Never accept a first offer, or second for that matter. Be ready to walk out the door. Call other dealerships in front of them and put 2 dealerships against each other competing for your business... Then....

If you can afford a vehicle that you want, and you are personally happy with the price, go for it. Don't worry about what others pay.

How does one go about finding out what a dealership pays for a vehicle? I can’t remember the word for what dealers pay for a vehicle but I hear people say it sometimes. Basically they think they got the vehicle for what the dealer paid for it (which seems odd).

I agree to never go off an "out the door price", just the actual sales price of the vehicle.
