This is the look I plan for on mine. Any advice on what the ideal setup is to give this look? Replacing the shocks and rear springs with OE parts in the near future. Can I get this look without a lift? What size would you guess the tires are? I'm guessing rims are 17"...?

I don’t think you will get that without some sort of lift, and the wheels look to be 16”

Those are 16” trd tx Baja rims from 2013-14 time frame. Tires look to be about a 265/75/16, essentially a large 31” tire. I had 31/10.50/15 on my truck pre SAS. It will work with no lift. On the ifs trucks you can gain a little height by tightening the torsion bar keys.

I bought this from my brother-in-law in April. Took the top off last weekend (I think for the first time)and really never intend on putting it back on. No intention of her seeing a Wisconsin winter…

If you should put it back on...I have learned when you install the top spray all of the seals with a silicone spray first...set it on the 4 Runner...install an pull up the vertical or the cab ones first...hand tight and then install the horizontal ones last on the cab or truck part last...mine has never leaked and I have done this for over 8 years now...I love these 4 Runners...they are Awesome machines!!!

I'll put a few pictures of mine tomorrow...I don't think it's going to rain...for a change...those of you that have the older generations please don't sell them...they are exceptional vehicles designed and built by exceptional mechanics...I said this before on this forum...my Japanese friend for 35 years said "they only give you what you need...not what you wanted" These trucks are built to last forever with comfortable maintenance...mine has 320,000 miles and runs incredibly smooth, shifts wonderful and sings on the highway at 65 without breaking a sweat at 22 MPG. I have ran it off road...not crazily but it walks up incredibly steep hills with 31 x10.50 BFG's...I also run in 5th gear up and down hills on the highway without down shifting. I'm sure the LCE header and 2.5 inch exhaust help...but it loves running at 65mph. Keep it..run it and take care of it and it will be soooo valuable later if you ever choose to sell...but don't!!!

^Gotta agree with what’s been said here. My friend and I took our 35 and 32 year old 4Runners up a grueling, steep, rugged black diamond trail up over 8500’ this past Sunday and made it look easy. I’d really like to see the current vehicles of any manufacturer perform the way our trucks did 30+ years from now. 3DAD55E8-D090-409D-B4DF-F9A230ADAF98.jpg940C3387-3AEA-43B9-9426-C24240C01F77.jpg D26A299C-B255-4141-9DF1-45BDF582913E.jpgThese trails are no joke either. They will kill you if you aren’t on top of your game. FADB3599-8341-4AE7-8DF6-E8B20CB09C2F.jpg

This is my 88 with a 2" leveling kit, 33x12.50's on 15x10 rims with bushwhacker flares. The leveling kit was under $200 and gives me plenty of clearance.
