I am 100% ready to be a minivan dad. When I think about the things I gave up for a 4Runner... Smoother ride, better gas mileage, more space and better interior, AWD for ski trips, forums bereft of chest-beating and fragile masculinity... sigh. Sometimes I wish I had made the more logical choice for our family vehicle, but here I am- arguing about $10,000 appearance packages.

Sliding doors are the BEST. So many good memories of slamming them shut before heading out on family adventures.

You'd miss us. Besides, the way it's going, Toyota will probably release a TRD PRO Sienna soon enough. Then, you'll have the same kinds of pissing matches we get here. And, the limited guys are probably over there looking down on the XLE guys right now.

Before I bought my Taco in 2017, I was considering a Sienna or Highlander/RX. For 90% of what I do, any of those would be nicer than the 4runner. Now that I've become interested in off-roading, I'll keep the 4runner and maybe eventually get a Sienna for other types of adventures. Of course, a Highlander would probably handle about 90% of the trails I actually ride. But, the 4runner looks way cooler on the Instagram.:D

    PS, I'm not on Instagram

Hey flyinhoot, you need to check out my old thread on KDSS Service. I’m convinced that if you keep the fragile electrical connections clean, the rest of it should last forever.

The moderators here do an excellent job, imho, and also 4 Runner owners in general, seem to be less conflict oriented than Taco owners, on Tacomaworld.com. I guess some guys are lovers, and some guys are fighters.

    You’re just asking for a timeout aren’t you:laughing:
You obviously lack the maturity to be able to debate on this forum, or anywhere for that matter lol

    Somebody's trying to get banned.

In general, people on this forum are able to debate and disagree without the staff needing to clean up after them. Some can't.

When you resort to name calling, etc, you've obviously run out of worthwhile things to say and are just trying to get a rise out of people.

We're a community of enthusiasts here. If you want to fight with people, you might be more popular on a different forum.

After reading all that, it reminded me of how some folks would get lit up on the older Dweb forums. :bananadead: Really, for all of us, it aint really the ride as much as it is the nut behind the wheel.:burnrubber:

Full disclosure: I owned a green 2001 Aztek that I wish I had never sold...

No, in Deming. Had the Aztek when I lived up north. With that low tailgate and removable seats, it was great for hauling the dogs around. I even pulled my 16' tri-hull with it. It was fugly, but pretty darn capable.
