Looking into updating my HVAC controls in my 97(analog) with ones from a 2000 (electric) model. Has anyone sucessfully done this? Is there a thread that I just can't find?

Yea man I wanted to do the same. You’d have to replace the entireeeee HVAC system since you’re going from manual vents controlled by simple wires to electronic.

I almost think it would be easier to just buy a new rig. lmao. I guess if I find one at the right price I'll do the swap.

Since it’s super rare for someone to try the swap I would first check your local junkyard for a later 3rd gen and just pull it all from there. Can’t imagine anywhere else you could get it for cheaper.

If you’re crazy enough to actually do it please document it!
