Hi, I picked up a 97' V6 3.4 Ltd 2 years ago it now has 372,000Km's I have given it a lot of TLC and it's running great, just spent $$$ having the frame welded where the rust had eaten it ! One or two people are now asking me if the HG has been done yet !! No, I tell them should I be worried that it might "go" at this kind of mileage ??

Mine went at 200K. I took good care of the motor too. Id say it might. But if you have 2 options. I tryed to fix mine, but had to pull the motor to get the exhaust off. Since the motor was out i said fuck it and sent it off to get full rebuild and machine(pictures in my build page) But here a few more i didnt post.

BUT, you can totally pull the motor and just replace the gaskets and reinstall. It actually was not that hard to get to the gaskets, I was learning as i was going, Next time im pulling the motor immediately, I wasted so much time trying to tilt the motor to get the exhaust off.
