Decided to try the WeatherTech 3d Floor Mats in front. Fair price, fit great, and cover well. The material holds it's shape but is pliable so can be flexed to remove and install easily. Was also looking at a few others but the WeatherTech appeared to me the ones to get.

After a drive today with them appreciate the bettter contour of the dead pedal. Now my left foot rests more natuarally there.

The new Weathertechs are great mats. Best I ever used.
One story to share: my wife took the drivers mat out the other day to clean it out and put it back on top of the gas pedal and somehow managed to tighten the clips. In the morning I was half awake when I got in and turned the key, and it revved like crazy. I looked for the pedal, which seemed to have disappeared, tried to unclip the mat for which the clips would not budge, then shut the key off.

Are the new weather tech mats made with different material then previous?

Description for the 3D... "Created using an advanced rubber-like, Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) compound, the 3D FloorMat is both flexible and durable. 100% recyclable, this material is latex and PVC free! Engineered and created to stand up for the most extreme weather conditions, 3D FloorMats won't crack, curl or break down."

FAQ describing the differences between their 3 lines...
"What’s the difference between the FloorLiners, 3D FloorMats and All-Weather Floor Mats?
The FloorLiners are a three-dimensional tray-type floor covering with standing walls that go up the front, back, and side of the vehicle floor. 3D FloorMats are made from a flexible rubber-type mat that drapes over the floor area, and features standing walls that cover the front back and sides of the vehicle floor. The All-Weather Floor Mat is a custom 2-dimensional floor mat that covers the floor only, and is a great solution that’s a bit less expensive. The FloorLiners are made out of a harder, more rigid material, and the 3D FloorMats and All-Weather Mats are made out of a softer, more flexible material. All 3 will protect the carpet and contain spills, however the FloorLiners cover the most surface area.
