2002 Tire Wear

I've suspected a bad bearing for a while now and just realized my tread is suffering. Since the wear is the same on both tires does this indicate an issue with one or both? Major highway miles. I'm about to buy the hub/bearing sets from @nj636 but wanted to make sure I should get both or one. Any advice is welcomed.

That looks like more of a Wheel Alignment issue. Shakes or vibrations?

 

Do you do proper 3000ish mile rotations?

There are some vibrations with a high vibration noise in the steering wheel. Kinda like a harmonic. I have to admit I'm not good about tire rotation. The tires were new just a year ago. Should I have an alignment done before replacing bearings?

 

I don't think its your bearings man, You just hear grinding with wheel bearings. Also jack up your truck and wiggle the tire, if you have excessive play in it you might have wheel bearing issues, but to me for BOTH sides to looks the same I think your Alignment is off.

 

I appreciate the help. Might have saved me a lot of dough. I'll have alignment checked first.

Fyi.... You probably going to need get new tires.

 

Take it a place that has a Lazer machine. You will need it. Have them do a front end check and in detail. I had the same issue the cause. The bolts that adjust on the lower control arms. Easy fix and a set of tires later. No more issues.

Yeah tires are shot. If alignment solves his problem and no bearings are needed, I will be very happy. Thanks for the input.
