    Hey 4Runner community!

Noob here, I'm looking to purchase a used 3rd Gen 00' SR5 in Allentown, PA and need some advice so I don't get bamboozled. Anyone have a great mechanic rec for that area? I don't have access to one as I live in NYC. HELP!

Thanks! Thoughts on this? It's a 00' with 126k miles for $8K. I don't have photos of the undercarriage or under the hood yet but hoping the dealer will send over soon.

Heard. Research is underway! I'm excited to join the forum and have a few more questions. As far as rust in the undercarriage, how can I tell it if the problem is deeper than just surface rust? The vehicle's CarFax report that it has been maintained well but there seems to be a gap in the service in the last five years, with steady milage use around 3K, before it was put up for sale. This is my first time buying a used vehicle and I've been only searching for these 3rd Gen Yotas. Any and all help welcomed.
