    Just purchased a 1999 4Runner with only 71k miles. Forest Green color and is a 4x4 SR5.

Paid $11k, no rust on frame.

    Recent repairs:
    Around August of last year:
    Radiator
    Coolant flush
    Serpentine Belts

    Around March this year:
Timing belt and water pump kit
    Thermostat
    Valve cover gaskets
    Spark plugs and wires
    Air filter
    Fuel filter
removed the throttle body and completely cleaned it.

At 71,000 miles, you basically bought yourself a brand new 4Runner. Keep up the maintenance and it will last for many, many years to come. Looks really nice!

I don't actually know if you did well or not, but my uneducated and unresearched opinion is that you got a great deal on a great vehicle. Another 30,000 miles or so and it will be broken in.

    Welcome.
