Nice 4 Runner! Good choice for tires. I shouldn’t say this, but it would it would look cool with a great after market roof rack. Just an outsiders opinion. I had to say it.

Thank you for the opinion. No problem. I did not like the Pro roof rack and sold it. I don’t use the roof for much of anything. That’s why I put the black rails on. If I do anything I will add the inside rails inside the rails for hauling long item if needed. I did by a set from a forum member but they were damaged. But he took care of it.

Today I went upstate about two hours with my son Anthony and a friend of mine with his Grand Cherokee. His idea to just get out and hit a short, pretty easy trail to get a bit dirty and get some fresh air. Had lunch by a reservoir then headed home but we had to stop at a nice overlook with the Delaware river below. A nice little get away and a chance to play in the dirt finally.DSCN5490.jpg DSCN5491.jpg DSCN5493.jpg DSCN5495.jpg DSCN5496.jpg DSCN5498.jpg

Took off my victory ladder as it was scratching the shit out of the inside top hatch. The top plate shifted from use. My fault for not putting a protective tape down ED507AE3-D46F-4AF5-A889-14F1B1ADF8BC.jpg

Will you reinstall it, or do you think it isn’t stable enough? Funny, it’s the only one that actually bolts on, and being made of steel I thought it would be pretty good.

It’s fine, the top mounting plate just pushed back a little. Not a huge deal. Will install protective tape (helicopter tape) and reinstall

9657DCCE-1DE7-48C1-8153-B493697B9BC7.jpg I finally got my Diode Dynamics Switchback turn signals reinstalled. The driver-side one kept burning out repeatedly, so I took them out. I loved the look but after talking with Diode Dynamics on the phone, We couldn’t figure out why they were burning out...

I read everything I could, and I determined it might have been the cheap wire taps/capacitors they give you to prevent hyperblinking- (they are so hard to reach in the fender well and install and I felt the wire taps may have not been connected properly and created voltage fluctuations resulting in burnout- also I never liked the thought of splicing into existing wires, so always wanted to fix them and clean up the install...)

Anyway I found some plug and play ones from Underground lighting that plug into your existing turn signal socket and have another plug you plug your switchback bulb into...so I took the old wire taps off,
Taped the wires Up good quality electrical tape, and plugged these bad boys in - it’s been a week now and no burn out ... if you are On the fence about getting switchbacks because of the wire tap Issue... I recommend these whole heartedly ( you do have to cut one tab off the new socket plug to get it to twist into your headlamp housing)

I wouldn’t mind upgrading my puddle lights to led but those a a bit pricy for me. And suggestions on a solid more economical option?

Nope. You can try led bulbs
Others had did bulbs and loved them but when they switched to Meso they basically said "wow"

The Sylvania Zevo (168/194) is a nice bright white led that you can get at the local auto parts stores or big box store. Works great for the puddle lights.
