Hey guys, new member. I had a 98 Sr5 back when i was a kid, im 30 now and am selling my 2006 Foresert XT for 10k, lucky me and downsizing to a 4runner to save some money in light of the crazy economy were in :(

drove it today and it operated real well all around. i do alot of my own work but was curious on the seepage from rear diff , hopefully just needs new crush washer. and the seepage from the transmission union. have a small video and photos.

    its a 1998 with 182k miles

ANY insight is greatly appreciated, so happy to be back with the 4runner family again, esp the 3rd gen.. and also! the rear window doesnt roll down :( hopefully its that wiper blade fix and not the motor.

The transmission area leak...is that indicative of a rear main seal leaking? I may have the same issue. I had oil EVERYWHERE though due to valve covers leaking like crazy. In another 100k miles maybe I can tell. Even with a rear main seal leak...cars can go many miles before it's an issue that will harm anything.

The differential leak...looks like a washer would fix it.

I always cringe knowing people go in deep water with these things not realizing the rear diff is vented and sucks up water. In your case, it appears no leaks on the drums. That would indicate the axle seals are still good.
