Greetings from Waco! I've been tracking this forum for a while now, gleaning great nuggets of wisdom. I have three (3) 4Runners at this point. My wife has a 2013 Ltd, son has 2009 Urban Runner and youngest son has our first 4Runner which is a 99 with 260K. I drive a 10 Sequoia and my middle son in a 2013 Tacoma PreRunner Quad w/Lift. We love our trucks and I love to work on them. I just finished up replacing the carpet in the 09 after learning a hard lesson of not blowing out the drain lines in the sunroof from time to time.

In the carpet replacement, I ended up stripping the seat mounting bolt. Is this a bolt I can just pick up at a specialty fastener shop like Fastenal? I've seen some forums saying you have to have a 11mm grade 8 bolt and not grade 5.

Any advice on where to get the bolt the fastest would be great. Starting window seal updates on the 09 and 99 4 Runners too. Where is the best place to get replacement seals?

Welcome!! The color on your 5th gen looks familiar. Shoreline Blue Pearl? As far as your question, I'm not much help with a hardware source. I've used McMaster Carr before, pretty user friendly. Are there no salvage yards near Waco? That would be the cheapest place to get the seat bolt and make sure it's a proper fit as well. I also would run a tap through the mounting nut in the truck first, and make sure it will clean up and bite the new bolt well enough to be safe. Hopefully that part is not stripped. Good Luck!
