Is it possible to replace the chrome fender flairs with the black ones on a 1996 T4R SR5

HVAC tape over the holes in the glass headlights
Anything is possible. Unbolt the chrome ones and running boards, and put on the black plastic ones.

I know on the 2002...I was looking at removing my painted front fender flares to do a ball joint replacement...it was NOT going to be simple. They bolted/riveted those things on and it's really hard to get at from what I could see. They attached them through holes on the sides of the fender and not completely underneath.

Since you aren't removing but just installing, you might be able to find easier mounting points.

Found this pic posted here...you can see he's lost his front flare. You can see the holes.
