got a 2003 Sport V8. Tires on are 265/65/17. The rims are in rough shape and the tires are over 10 years old and starting to show dry rot. got some wheels from 2020 4Runner cheap and just found some 2018 4Runner Dunlap 265/70/17 almost new tread cheap. figure the V8 can handle the taller tire no problem. My ? is will the tall tire effect the speedometer and or the digital readings on MPG/avail. mileage., IMG_0632.jpg IMG_0601.jpg

That small of a difference is negligible. Enjoy your new wheels and tires.

Thanks for the visual info. that helps me see the little difference. Think it was a great deal, I paid $300 for the tires and $250 for the rims.

For future reference, I just googled "tire size calc" and that was the first thing that popped up. Also I have probably spent more time than most sane people looking at tire specs and stuff so...

i have been running 265 70 17’s for the last 3+ years with no issues. I’m about to step up to a 285 70. As far as the speedometer I was off at freeway speeds by about 3mph

Thanks for info. The taller tires fit the wheel well better, look a lot better, and at 70mph on speedo: GPS says 72mph. and on highway I'm getting a few 10's better fuel.IMG_0654.jpg
