Hey guys long time lurker here and finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel for my 2003 4Runner. Currently designing a house with a good sized garage that will have a two post lift. That will turn into me replacing the frame on the 4Runner once the house is built. Obviously the lift will help with that, but has anyone ever completely pulled the body off the frame for more than just a body lift?

I know this is going to be a huge undertaking but I don’t want to sell the 4Runner and the frame rust/rot is really the only issue. Motor runs strong except for the exhaust manifold leak. That will get fixed with Doug Thorely headers after the frame swap. Also does anyone know if toyota even makes the frame still? I found it on sparks Toyota’s website for $3,700 I would order it locally though. Open to all opinions on the topic.

I've seen a few threads about frame swapping over the years but I think they all used donor frames. Here's some time-lapse videos I watched one time of someone that did it. The guy was posting on t4r.org under the username New_2_4runners. Good Luck!
