So, I took my newly acquired 99 4Runner up to the hills to test it out over some dirt roads, and while descending in 4 Lo it stalled. Wouldn't restart. I let it sit for about 10 minutes than restarted without issue. What should I look at so this doesn't happen again? Any direction would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    That's a weird one.

Was it very steep? And, were you low on fuel?

I'm curious if it could have been caused by the angle somehow.

Any codes? I assume you didn't get a CEL since you didn't mention it.

I haven't pulled codes as I didn't have my reader with me. I'll check it out and report. I had a half tank of fuel, and all fluids looked to be at correct levels and clean (fuel, transmission, oil, coolant).

Well, apparently my code reader plug (OBDII) is a different style than the port under the hood, so next time I am by an Autozone, I'll have to have them run codes for me.

-So I ordered an adapter off eBay for the OBDII to OBDI.
