Tell me what you got for 54in top LED light bars! Is it working well for you? What products to look at? What to stay away from? What ever information on this you have is good.

    WISH LIST:
I know that I want it to be super bright (obviously) I just don't want it to be a system drainer. If the LED's could change colors that would be cool. I also really would prefer not to have to drill holes if I could avoid it and please be $200 or less, but if my budget for a good one is too lite lmk, at this point nothing is set in stone. Complete light bar package sets are great.....or is buying individually the way to go?! Is the amount of watts directly related to how bright they are? Links appreciated!

What is your goal here? Just to look cool. Or are you planning on wheeling after dark? Most of us install light bars for when we are stuck on the trail after dark to find our way back to the black top. 54" top mounted light bars so you can see WAY down the road? Or....?

I am running a 20 inch light bar mounted to the top of my front bumper. I paid $50 (including tax) from Amazon. It's bright, it does what I need it to with both spot and flood beams. The mounting brackets aren't the best so I made my own with the metal scrap I have in my garage, and my vice.

As far as package deals or bars individually? That's up to you, and your intended use. All the under $100 light bars and light pods on Amazon are good lights. Downside is they aren't very waterproof. I get all my new lights and run a bead of silicone around the lens to insure they stay waterproof. If they last a few years, great.

I don't recommend any light bars on your roof, unless you get one with good optics. Think Baja Designs, KC HiLites gravity series, Diode Dynamics. The cheapo bars will produce tons of glare all over your hood, which fatigues your eyes and makes the light nearly useless.

If you're getting a cheap bar just for looks, put in your grill. That way you won't blind yourself.

Been rolling with the cheap ones with no problems.

Depends on your intended use. If you like going "not slow" in the dark, I would spend the money and get a better bar like Baja, Rigid, KC, Diode Dynamics. The same recommendations fit if you prefer a clean/clear light without hotspots or artifacts in it (if those kinds of things bug you). Also, keep in mind, a good 20" lightbar like a baja, is likely going to throw way more useable light down the trail than a cheap 54" will.

If you just need something to look cool, or something for infrequent use to light up the area immediately in front of you; then a cheap Amazon bar will do just fine.
