Thanks. It was tough. Luckily I have cat-like reflexes. I fish where nobody else does under the downed trees and Laural. If Me or the Eagle doesn’t get them they will go belly up and sink to the bottom.

Just ordered a Bass Pro Johnny Morris 6’6 rod. Could of sprung for the $200 GLommis. The ST Croix was good thought it was USA made but it’s got a made in Mexico sticker. It was an awesome rod!

Where are you fishing? They stock some rivers around here with farm raised rainbows when there is enough water, but they typically do not live a full season.

I cook them like my grandpa did, lather them completely in Mayonnaise with some black pepper, stuff the body cavity with onion, garlic and if you are feeling frisky, crushed red peppers. BBQ for a little bit, open and enjoy! haha... I also did some on the smoker at 450 and the skin crisped up pretty good, that wasn't a bad way. My Daughter (7yrs old) will eat trout, muscles, clams, oysters but wont touch french toast :notsure:

I know a good recipe for Carp too.
    1. Stuff with rice
    2. Wrap in cardboard
    3. Bake at 350 for 3 hours
    4. Throw Carp away and eat cardboard

A black guy told me this joke at Lake Fairfax while we were trout fishing.

    I caught a golden there!

96 trout. I forgot my net today. Hooked a huge Brown, then I pulled it on shore and it flopped right back in the water. Almost went swimming for that one. And I worked.

There is a good bit of trout fishing in my area, including in the Pisgah National Forest near Brevard which is about 20 miles from me. I'm not a fisherman, but sure love to eat trout, especially pan sauteed in butter.
