You Son Of A Bitch (being sarcastic for any snowflakes, no feelings were hurt or safe place compromised, I promise)!
I had my eye on that myself.
I love it. Now I'll get off my ass and order it.

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
I really like the grill badges as well as the rear, side window flag/mountain decals but I just, personally can't justify the price. I'm not saying they are not worth it, just a little too costly for me. One of these days, in a weak moment, I'll probably give in and get one or the other. Or both.

Since everything is closed down I decided to remove the tent off the 4 and do some maintenance to it and the roof of the vehicle. It now rides like a sports car without that weight up there and I find myself going 80 real easily.

That's an interesting option. They also have fangs and hood scoop glare eliminating stickers for those interested. Pretty cool site. Thanks.

Curious about a review on this, I like how simple it is. I have no plans to do a RTT, but I do want to get an awning at some point. The attachment points on the sides and crossbars seem well thought out and sturdy. Please let us know once you get some use out of it

The install was pretty straightforward. The top side rails bolts were a little difficult to install. Overall this seems very sturdy but I have not driven yet to see if there is any wind noise.

Did my second oil change today. Was easy with the fumoto valve. I had the worse time getting the pro skid plate in, this time. Get one bolt in, another wouldn’t go in...rotate repeat. Pretty sure I cross threaded some shit when I finally got them all going. Find out next change

I was debating getting one of those Fumoto thingamabobs. I'm just a tad nervous about it leaking, or failing. Is it pretty solid? The lever looks a little flimsy in the pictures.

I have had one on mine for awhile, with no leaks or problems whatsoever. Also had one on my 3rd gen with no problems.

I was a little worried, too, but it’s been fine. I had a ton of caked up mud under the little skid plate that covers the drain plug and everything held up.

Honestly no clue. When I bought it, it didn't even have the cover. I bought the cover and that is as snug as I could get it. Been like that for 2 years.

    I'm such a dummy.

So about a week + ago I am out in the garage looking at my Runner because.... well let's be honest, who doesn't just go out and look at their Runner? Anyway, I was checking it out and I realized that his stable mate (1990 964) was hooked up to a Battery Tender but the Runner was not. I happened to have another Battery Tender and since I am not leaving the house for days, if not weeks at a time right now I figured I better hook it up to the Runner. I did so and left the hood ajar so that I would not forget the Runner was plugged in.

I forgot the Runner was plugged in. DOAH! As I was backing out of the garage I heard a surprisingly loud SNAP that caused my heart to sink a bit. What the heck just happened? What did I hit? What did I run over? How bad is this going to be? Then in hit me, THE BATTERY TENDER! But wait, from the driver seat I could see that it was still plugged into the wall. Hmmm, might not be so bad after all. Jumped out to take a look and woohoo! No damage to anything. Looks like as I backed out the cord of course got tight and then when it pulled the clip from the battery terminal is snapped up and hit the underside of the hood which resulted in the loud SNAP I heard.

I just feel dumb walking right past my open hood, jumping in the Runner and backing out. I need a big bright red "Remove Before Flight" flag to hang out the side of the engine bay as a reminder.

Why yes, I am kind of bored. Thank you for asking. :)

Yeah, just the kind of thing I could see myself doing. I'm old, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

    They're solid!

Have had one on my wife's Subaru for 65,000 miles now and it makes oil changes quick and clean. I'll absolutely be putting one on my 4Runner on my next oil change.

If you're ever worried about that lever, they have a clip that you can press and click onto the valve that makes it near impossible to accidentally move the lever.
