What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Well yeah considering you have to pull the cover off the panel to get to it. No idea why Toyota didn't design this as storage to begin with.

When you snap the cover back over the pocket it's hidden!

I know I lost a panel clip near there when I was routing my CB antenna wire.

Yeah, pretty much. I cut the fender liner so that it wouldn't be just flopping around exposed. I might look into trying to put something in there to keep mud and rocks from flying into everything in there.

I guess if you put something small in there it would get lost. The rubber I put in there makes it so anything of any size will stay where I can get it.

 

Yup. I just clipped off the part on the cover that the screw went through. There are small hooks around the cover that hold it on.

 

Indeed it is until you pry off the cover. And it's hidden once again when you snap the cover on again. Magic!

Don't need to break it, remove the rear panel it simply unscrews. pry the rear panel away from the front one can reach in and turn the screws out but that's a pain in the arse. Or you can snap them and break them, did that to my 19 and the cover never jumped out

 

Since shelter in place is in effect...time to bring out the griots buffer and give some much needed love to my scratched up voodoo blue

 

hey everyone, hope you all are staying healthy.
havent been able to do much, but was trying to isolate a metal clanking sound underneath the 4r. checked to see if it was the spare but that was tight and fine. i was planning on running my cb antenna cable but its been raining so hopefully ill get to do that while im stuck at home.

 

Not today but last weekend, truck got me up the hill for what was probably my last ski day for the season. Damn this virus.

 

If you don’t have an undercarriage attachment, get one!!! Finally getting off all the mud from the other week.

 

How is the pressure from the undercarriage attachment have? That was my biggest worry. I just use our pressure washer now.
Got her all cleaned up and looking ready to get dirty again! Lol looks great.

probably comparable to like a 35 degree attachment on my electric pressure washer. It’s not much at all, but enough to reach the stuff I can’t

 

I didn't actually do it, but I decided to get a BMC while my shop was working on my skid plates. I'm planning on jumping to 285's for my next set of tires, so I wanted to be sure that I wouldn't have clearance issues. I didn't realize that the picture was blurry until I had already left the shop.

 

So now that I am working from home, I have LOTS of time to take care of my baby! Did a wash and wax today with Adams' Polishes wax. I havent waxed a car in about 25 years and I think it came out pretty good.
