I'm assuming they fit all 5th gens, I'm not sure if there's any dramatic differences in the floor pans of the different models. It says it even fits the GX460 which my girlfriend has as well. I can check later just for S&G!

Earlier 5th gens (2010-2012, maybe 2013) have different floor posts for attaching the mats.

Soft install done for the Weboost.
Roof mount didn't work out so hot so I opted for a hatch mount instead. Had to fab the mount a touch but, it turned out nice. Hadn't used the bench grinder in a while so it was nice to fire her up. Anyway, the instructions call for the antenna to be mounted so the head is above the roof line and I'll move it up if I have to. I went for a test drive today in an area that has 1X reception and sometimes NO SERVICE and with the Weboost on I got LTE 3/4 bars. I was impressed.
Next project is to get some decent fogs installed.

Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
We should hit some trails together. There's another fellow T4R owner up in Springfield I've been chatting with on the other board.
We're planning to try SMORR one of these Saturdays. You'd be welcome with your Taco.

I live in Theodosia but get up to Ozark / Springfield regularly (in normal times).

Opportunity more than anything. Mine is a 2011 with 130k+ on it, there nothing really wrong with it but it is coming up on 10 years old. I will eventually at some point replace it with another 5th gen and swap everything over to it. This is basically the last chance to buy a new 5th gen without TSS. I either buy now, or I wait for the 6th gen to get released and then buy new old stock of the 5th gen before they are gone. It’s just a way to take time and miles off the without having to start over fresh with a different platform. I’m still not totally sold on making the deal happen. If I can get it to a number that starts with a 3 it’s more than likely going to happen.

I’d probably trade in our Jetta on this, swap everything over, then either trade the 2011 4R for a Highlander for the wife or keep it if she wants to, she just drives around town and to work.

Also I got your PM, thanks.

    I really wish they’d make the 4Runner I want.

I want a brand new cement grey 4Runner with no 3rd row, no kdss, no hood scoop, And no sunroof. From TRD Offroad/Pro - the small side skirts and bumpers, the e-locker, and the electrical off road aids. From the Limited - the full time 4WD torsion center diff, 2 zone climate control, smart key, heated/ventilated seats, mirror puddle lights, and auto headlights. From the older 5th gens - no TSS, no air injection system, prefacelift headlights. From the newer 5th gens - taillights and CarPlay.

I’d even settle for a TRD Offroad with the Limited center diff and smart key.

I miss the old days where you could custom order your vehicle option by option.

Not going to lie, a good friend just got a Raptor. I’ve been keeping an eye on the prices. It’s tempting, just not smart as I’m getting ready to retire

Yea I think the older design are riveted or tacked on. The newer ones are bolt on.

the closest thing you may get to some of those are with the limited edition 2021 trails that come out later this year. But it only has a handful of those specs

Those trails are just base model SR5s in colors that used to be unique to Pros.

Realistically for what I want the Limited is going to be the way to go and then build off that.

true - but man that’s a lot of extra cash for a vehicle to then modify up/down. I had a 2015 limited and really disliked the suspension.

$40K doesn't seem bad to me at all. It's not like an SR5 or off-road is cheap.

In reality you’re not going to add full time 4WD, dual zone climate control, ventilated seats, or smart key. You either have it or you don’t and rather have all that than an e-locker. The bumpers and side skirts are a simple change (part of the reason I chose an SSO rear bumper is because it doesn’t require cutting so it’s easier to swap when I get a new 4R). There’s nothing I’d really mod down on a Limited besides buying side skirts, and I can modify the front for a Hefty Fab bumper.

Update - were at $40,335 and things are pretty well stalled out here. I’m gonna tell them if they eat the dealer and doc fees (effectively putting it at $39,700ish + fees & tax) and I’ll throw a deposit on it, I’m away for work until the end of the month. Realistically I can’t see them scraping the deal being this close.

Did the standard "high clearance" bumper cut. I think it turned out OK..

I think you're definitely on the road towards bigger tires.

Thank you! I'm actually very happy with it:)

I'll have to wait a bit for tires, but it's definitely on the list. I'll need tires in a few months either way. I'm not going to buy another set of 265's!:D

I ran painter's tape along where I wanted to cut, and used it as a guide. I did just eyeball the angles. I tried to follow the line on the bumper.

I was a little nervous for sure. I took my time cutting. I used an oscillating saw (multi-tool) and it cut very easily.

I wrapped the cut end with some edge trim I found on Amazon.

    Thanks everyone for the comments!:)

Update - Negotiations leveled out at $40,335. A few attempts of back and forth and they aren’t willing give a single cent more. I asked about skipping the pre delivery detail, removing some of the optional accessories the vehicle was spec’d with (wheel locks, all weather mats, roof rack crossbars, etc.) but nothing, I’ve bled this deal completely dry.

I started checking if any of the places I’ve been in contact with will beat this deal and get me to that elusive $3x,xxx mark and nobody is willing to counter and beat the current offer I have in writing (well, text via email). The closest thing I got to beating the price was being offering a used 2019 Nightshade CPO for $39,999.

That being said, I put a refundable deposit down and there’s a sold sign in the window.

Final details: New 2019 Toyota 4Runner Limited Nightshade, Magnetic Gray Metallic exterior, Nightshade leather in graphite interior w/ all weather floor liners and cargo tray, wheel locks, and roof racks crossbars. $40,335 + $599 registration/plates/doc fees + sales tax.

Time to start looking into financing.
