My 97 3RZ-FE check engine light came on last week for P0402. I started by replacing the EGR vac. modulator and the VSV, reset the code last night, and it came back on this morning.

Anyone else have any experience with EGR excessive flow codes? What should I try next?

Well I was wrong, the new code that following morning was for P0420, 02 sensors all good, so I just need a new cat.

    Bump:

Mechanic quoted $660 to replace the CAT with an OEM. This seem reasonable?
