285 is good.... But go ahead and do a 285/75 instead of a 285/70

Depending a lot on the width and offset of those tires, you are going to rub either way. If you haven't done so yet, plan on a little bumper trimming, fender liner mod, and a BMC just to be safe. Or just do the high clearance bumper mod and the BMC, and you'll be good up to 35s.

I already have the trimming done, fender liner mod, and a BMC.... I rub NOWHERE, not even off road, none in reverse, full lock... NOTHING. But before i did the trimming, BMC, and all i did rub pretty bad on any type of turn.

Now i wish i had 285/75s instead of 70s. Next time.

 

I cut down my steel shitter shovel and mounted it to my tent. I'm ready for any shit that gets flung my way!

Got quoted 41,300 for a new 2019 Nightshade Limited 4WD via cars.com price inquiry from my local dealer. That seems like a pretty reasonable starting point. I need to do some research.

Here is mine after getting tint done!

 

Not a MOD but had some fun at 8000 ft in Tucson.

 

It is 20% in the front and a 5% layer everywhere else on top of the factory tint!

 

Not the same as Pilot Rock but it was cool and my youngest had a great time adventuring.

 

I think it looks great man! Tires are fine.

I wave at 4runners and Tacomas all of the time. Most people wave back, but some only use one finger

 

Where in WI are you from? My mom and step dad are down in Delevan and my best friend has a big plot of land near his family’s Lakehouse in Portage.

 

Black or grey wheels on a silver 4Runner? I'm debating which would look better...

 

Personal preference and unpopular opinion here but Chrome is the worst, slightly above that is black, then basically any other color.

 

I'm kinda wishing I had gone with the gray TRD Pro wheels now...

 

I have a Silver 4Runner and in my opinion a darker colored wheel combined with the Silver makes a better contrast. Black makes a great contrast but I’ve been looking for a dark Gray wheel. So far the only one dark enough for my taste is the RRW RR5 in Gunmetal. All my opinion.

 

Looking at the gunmetal scs wheels or the gray trd pro wheels...hard to decide lol

 

The Gunmetal on the SCS wheels is very nice. The TRD gray wheels are cool but in my opinion too light for my taste on a Silver 4Runner. The Black TRD wheels would look better but then a lot of people have them. The Off-road wheels on my 4Runner are growing on me, wish I could find some for sale so I can powder coat them a dark gun metal or dark Anthracite.

 

There are quite a few really nice gray metal rims out there but I have the say I think the OR’s are hard to beat. I love the mix of black and silver. And I am very glad I went that route instead of aftermarket. I always worry about long term road salt durability.

 

Milwaukee area. I've been to Delevan fishing a few times. My girlfriend and I used to spend every other weekend in Portage at Kamp Dakota until it got flooded in 2008 and they closed it.

 

Best friend of mine lived in Delevan, WI for a couple years in the late 1990's. I did some serious drinking up there when I lived in Illinois.
I really liked the Dam Road Gun Shop. He always had some real neat guns in there at reasonable prices.

Back then he had brought in a huge case of 50 some Colt Systema 1911's. I should've had 1 or 2 transferred to Illinois.
