    Hello-
New to the 4Runner world. Been a Jeep guy for a long time, and still am. We needed something with better safety features than my 4 door Rubicon, as my wife and I just had our first child 3 months ago. Picked up a 2019 TRD Offroad 3 days before he was born... lol :)
Looking forward to seeing others builds and collecting information to help with the few mods I want to make to it. Cheers

    Dan

Welcome Dan and congrats on your 1st kid. I just joined this forum yesterday myself. I'm a former Jeep guy (2 long arm XJs, 03 KJ, 2017 JKU, and a 2019 WK2) and am very happy with my SR5 Premium 4x4 so far. I like how it feels more solid-built and planted when driving than my Jeeps have.

What kind of mods are you looking at doing?

Bad Wlf- Thanks! We are super excited to have been blessed with the little guy. I can't wait to take him out in my TJ when he gets a little bit older!

As for mods, I've been looking for a hidden winch plate to mount my winch that I kept that was on my JKUR. Seems all of the companies who make these for the 4Runner believe they are gold plated. The dang cost is outrageous as compared to what I'm used to paying for Jeep parts. Might have to fabricate my own with the help of some buddies. If you know of any reasonably priced companies, please let me know. Thanks!

Yeah. Aftermarket parts for Toyotas are way more expensive than Jeeps. I just bought RSG sliders for almost $750 and that's after a $100 T4R forum member discount. I bought a front bumper with stinger hoop, rear swingout bumper, and OE Rubicon sliders for my JK for less than that.

I was originally looking at the Southern Style Offroad (SSO) slim line hybrid bumper, but couldn't justify the price. Then I found the Body Armor HiLine winch bumper that I found on eBay for $569.
Here's a link to the bumper on Body Armor's site: https://www.bodyarmor4x4.com/product/4runner-hiline-front-bumper/

If you're looking for a full bumper, it's gonna hurt the wallet a bit.
