Damn it saw this too late lol. Are 12.50s really that bad? damn :/...anyone make a 33x11.50x15 tire? lol...I'm not knocking yals tires they look great for real, but idk I just love wider tires thats all. And yes, Paul I own two pairs of 15x7 Toyota wheels lol.

new wheels.jpg I also own a pair of Toyota 16x7s^^^.should I just go with the 285x75x16s? Would the 285s fit on that 16x7 wheel? They offer the Duratracs in that size...would that be better than the 12.50s off road? I'd also get more revs per mile over the 12.50s and 10.50s...I'm thinking this is my best option.

Hey Aram how goes it? Well if it were me, here's what I would do. I'd take your 15x7s and put some 33/10.5R15 BFG KM2s on and use 'em for off- road only. I'd run those 16s with some nice street type treads for the street. Just like you have in the picture already. I know it seems like a hassle to swap but since I don't have to actually do it(my sons do;))it's awesome! This way u don't wear out the M/Ts on the street.

285s will fit on a 16x7 for sure. Tire width and offroad performance is subjective - if you're primarily wheeling on loose bottomless surfaces (fine sand, very deep snow, thick sloppy mud, etc) a wider tire might perform better because it floats better. Most guys wheel in mixed terrain (some sand, some mud, some rocks, mostly gravel and dirt), where you don't want to float and a narrower tire will perform better.

But the real bonus to narrower tires is in efficiency. They're lighter, they have less rolling resistance, less air resistance, less stress on steering and suspension components, they're just plain better for any truck that sees mostly pavement. You'll see longer life from your tie rod ends, ball joints, shocks, wheel bearings, etc., and you'll get better MPG too. If yours is a dedicated trail truck, obviously you choose tires suited for the trails you're driving, but if it's a daily driver/weekend wheeler that sees highway time, skinnies are the way to go.

I've got Duratracs on the wife's truck and I haven't been super impressed - they're decent tires, but not worth the price. Check out Cooper's ST-Maxx for a similar tire at a better price.

@BestGen haha that's awesome that your sons do that for you. I was recently doing that with my 265s and 32s, and you're right, its quite the hassle :/. @Utah yea the terrain here is quite different at every turn, one minute it will be mud the next it will be rock, gravel, etc. Twice a year we get very deep snow close to 14 inches or more. Also My truck will be mainly a trail truck now that I bought that Corolla for daily driving. I've reviewed the coopers too but I love the look of the duratracs. I'ts like a mud terrain, and a all terrain had sex, and the duratrac was made lol. I really appreciate the suggestions and info guys! Yal are awesome! Thanks again.

You're quite welcome sir! It's good that you are not afraid to ask for advice from ppl who have the knowledge and experience to help you make an educated decision. However, it is ultimately your decision. Only you know what will truly make u happy. And in the end that's what it's all about. Enjoying your truck the way YOU want! Whatever u decide, I wanna see pics!!!

    P. S. if its mainly going to be a trail truck then go for a more aggressive tire like the Wrangler M/T since u like Goodyears. fwiw.

Thanks Paul! With you and Kevin around I'm never afraid to ask questions even if I sound like a total noob lol. Yal have answered every question I have, even on T4R.org and I really really appreciate that! A LOT! I honestly would love some Mud Terrains, but because we get a lot of snow here im afraid to invest in some as I've heard some bad reviews. Overall I think the Duratracs in 285s will suit my needs in our terrain pretty well. I will make a build thread and upload a ton of pics!

You got three sets of rims. Mount up some Blizzaks for the snow! Then you'll be unstoppable!!! :burnrubber:

What do you and @Utah think of the 295x75x16 KO2s?

I've owned 3 sets over the years, in 31", 33", and 35". They were great, I loved 'em. Alot of guys dog 'em out lately, but I've had nothing but positive experiences with them. They wear well, get good traction and are reasonably priced. I love them but I seem to be part of a shrinking group. I say get 'em.

I've never driven on KOs or KO2s. KM2s are my favorite tire ever though.

KM2s are also my favorite tire. I've got BFGs on 4 of my 5 vehicles.

P.S. Ask Kevin how the KM2s perform in the snow.
