I have been getting a lot of ads for one type of Ceramic Spray or another. Any thoughts or recommendations for what is out there.

None yet but looking for some
I dont know a lot about this but I am about to get mine clay barred and coated next week by a pro I have been using for years. He says that the ceramic adheres better to paint then the coatings on the paint, i.e. wax. So the main cost is prep. I dont remember the brand of coating but it came in small brown glass bottles with a bunch or warnings. This stuff is supposed to last 3-5 years.

I used Mother's CMX on my hood a week after I picked my 4R up with 6 miles on it. And it made a noticable difference with rain beading up, but not as good as the pro job I looked at on Friday.

I like the meguires ceramic spray. I clayed mine brand new and it's unreal how much crud was on the paint! Manufacture date 11/19 so it's not like it sat around a long time

These consumer level big box spray and wipe “ceramic coatings” are user friendly and give some nice protection. Basically a glorified spray wax.

But they’re not even close to the protection and performance you get from an actual ceramic coating you get “in the little brown bottles”.

As stated just a glorified "quickie" wax same thing with any spray on wax Yeah they look good for a few weeks that's it. Still the best thing is a PITA good old paste wax manually put on and wiped off. That reminds me I hate waxing cars.

This! Although a consumer / shelf product, it's intent is more or so geared toward "everyone" as compared to the hobbyist/enthusiast detailer who would primarily focus with prep and a "true" ceramic coating offered by one of the boutique brands. It is still a very good product and works very quickly though! I have personally used mothers cmx on wheels or after a quick decon wash on some vehicles

UK 3.0 is a very good product! Application in my finding is easy, but I do have experience with a few coatings. Their recent offering of Cquartz Lite is a much easier and very friendly application/use and is super slick!

I used some Mothers CMX a few days ago on my new 2020 OR which I recently put a clear bra on. I was going to give a coat of Blitz Wax but the guy who did my clear bra recommended the CMX. Read and watched a few reviews. Was going to try the Griots 3 in 1 Ceramic but not available so picked up the Mothers CMX. I put 2 layers on the front and hood. Will see how it holds up. It is supposed to be the most durable for a base layer so held off waxing it.

I have been using Adams H2O Guard and Gloss every three washes or so since new, fantastic stuff. I really noticed the difference this winter with how easily I can hose the truck down after a weekend in the snow/mud to get the salt off.

I used this back in April after clay bar. Never used either process before.
Still looks great. and water beads up great even now. I rarely wash it. (MGM color)

I’m going to try 303’s ‘sealant’ soon as the weather clears up. Mist on, rinse off.

Still waiting to use my griot’s polisher for a full detail. Texas weather!!!
