Hey all, I have a 2001 4Runner and the security light to the left of the steering wheel and radio went out. Does the radio have an in line fuse, or share a fuse in one of the fuse boxes with something else? Any ideas why the security light doesn't come on when I exit the car? I can't find a fuse for either.

    Thanks!

Ahhh, ok. I don't have that. Is this a Toyota installed item, or aftermarket?

    It's a Toyota factory install. See attached photo.security light.jpg security light.jpg

So, does the system still function properly, but the light doesn't work? I would imagine the light in the switch is all that is bad. A blown fuse is going to shut down an entire circuit.

Honestly, I don't know. What's the best way, lock the car and shake it to see if the alarm goes off?
