Is there anywhere the Off Road could go that the SR5 couldn't? :mudding:

    Thoughts?

Doubtful but the locker will be beneficial in certain situations.

    For the win. LOL

OK seriously, I have the TRDORP with all the fancy buttons and gizmos. They work for sure and I have used that stuff to truly impress my buddies in built jeeps. BUT..... 99.9999% of the time when I am off road I just throw it in 4Lo and engage the rear locker and the dang thing goes anywhere I care to go. So yes, a 4x4 SR5 with a rear locker will be VERY capable. Heck a 2X4 with a rear locker will probably go more places than most folks want to go in a $30,000+ vehicle.

    Enjoy.

I think this sums it up well.

I probably don't need Crawl Control or Multi Terrain select to go anywhere I will ever actually go.

I think that crawl control will be a good aid in getting un-stuck more than anything else. I might try using it this year. So far, I've only engaged it out of curiosity.

I also prefer the lever type transfer case over the rotary switch, but that is only personal preference.

I tried out those electronic things when I first got the 4 and have never touched them since.

4 lo and rear locker will take most sane folks as far as they need to go
