Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
LOL no. What's on the steering wheel now, stock are silver. It's a 2019 SR5. What I would want is gloss or semi gloss covers. I hope that clears it up for ya.

Very few junk yards around here that I would even deal with but thanks to mynameistory for the suggestion though.

    Nope! :burnrubber:

You know what's interesting, I never thought about how ticks breed. I figured they were just spawn of Satan. The weather has been pretty good in Sacramento so they are out in full force right now. Every time we walk on the local trail we get them crawling on our pants.

Is that a Gobi rack? if so does it have excessive wind noise? some say yes, many more say no, thanks sold the pro rack and eventually put money towards something nicer.

Would not use silicone. As it dries and hardens in the elements and UV exposure, it will lose its ability to seal. Butyl rubber is much better because it's a sealant that doesn't cure.

Try finding a Trail in the junkyard anywhere in the country using car-part.com and then call them. Ask how much it would be to take out and ship all of the trim pieces you're looking for.

I live in Los Angeles and got this 2014 Trail clock shipped to me from a Boston junkyard.

I think about a hundred bucks shipped. The problem is that you can't just swap it in, you need an adapter harness that only one guy makes: Old Red on T4R.org. However the mods took down all of his threads with the information on it, due to some kind of disagreement about whether he should pay vendor fees or not. Otherwise you'll have to swap entire parts of original Toyota wire harnessing to the tune of several thousands of dollars. Oh, and it only works in Trail/Offroad/Pro models. The SR5 and Limited don't have the proper ECU modules that make it function.

Man.... Started looking at new radios for the 4runner... WAY WAY TOO MANY OPTIONS. I like the Kenwood DNR476S model but there are so many similar radios in the same price range and it makes it impossible to pick.

I know i want Maestro compatible, i want built in Navigation, I want it to look nice too... Id like Android auto... DONT need CD/DVD player at all. Under 700 would be nice as well... But loads of radios still fall in these parameters. Overwhelming.

Ive had pioneer, Alpine and Kenwood. Personal preference is Kenwood Excelon series. Matched with even a midgrade amp and mid+ speakers. You will hear sounds in the exact same songs that you never knew were there

I honestly don't listen to music that much while driving anymore ... I like listening to stand up comedy in my car more than music to be honest.

I want the upgraded head unit for the Maestro capabilities, tire pressures, gauges etc.. and like that certain radios let you use rearview cameras while driving... Good for checking on the boat trailer while driving... Plus like the better navigation offered in aftermarket units.

So it's more for tech than music, though my wife will like the Android auto while on trips.

I'm liking that Kenwood best as far as looks and tech go so far... But the dash kits for after market radios aren't very appealing either... I only see one option and it's not the best looking... That or buy that $1500 Alpine that's made for the 4runner.

Thanks for the advice! The kind I got was an outdoor specific silicone that is advertised to not harden or crack. Additionally, it'll only be on for a month or two more until my Gobi comes in...but when I install that I'll look into the Butyl rubber.

I was thinking of doing this. Can you change what's displayed independently of the info in the instrument cluster?

Yes it is independent of the cluster but it will only display range or average MPG (all the other info: temp, direction, clock is locked). And you can only reset average MPG using the cluster, but it resets both displays. For example, you can't retain lifetime MPG and then see a trip MPG in the multi-display. It will also display prompts when you use multi-terrain select (sand, mud, rock) which is why it will not work with SR5 or Limited (it needs the MTS module to function at all).

It is much handier to glance at than the tiny display in the gauge cluster, and your passengers can see how cold it is outside.

I would look into these as they look better designed. I used their tubeyou video for my install. Showed every detail of pulling the center console... at least back to the centet box.
