I have a stock 2016 TRD Pro with the Stock TRD wheels.

    What I want:
    1. The tires to be at least 1/2"(not much) past the fender flares.

For that to happen I need to buy new Wheels with an offset. Correct?

If yes then what Wheel offset would I need?

    2. What is the biggest tire that will fit with 17" wheels?

    Thanks

I wanted the same and was able to accomplish just about that with a 0 offset wheel and stock size(265/70/16) wildpeak tire. No lift here.

You can fit a larger tire on a 17inch wheel but the question is will it fit once put on the truck. That’ll depend on your suspension mods and such.

I have heard bad stories about wheel spacers…. I going to try to stay away from those. Definitely a more cost effective option.

I ran the Spidertrax 1 1/4” spacers on my 2002 runner with absolutely no problems.
