Why don't my incoming texts pop up on the screen?

    It worked on my 2017 Tundra but not with my 2016 4Runner. ??

    Any ideas?

    Wrangler Duratracs, center console organizer & trav all 1576 dog divider for the rear. Xpel wrap with ceramic coating. 20% tint on front windows. TRD intake. TRD oil cap Plus parts on shelf & a wish list.
    If you bought it used I would recommend either looking through all the settings that alert for the different reasons. If you cannot find it. Reset to default and input your settings from there.

    Well I don't have apple , or Android just the plain Jane infotainment system that came with 2019 4runner , so I never see my texts on the screen any ideas ??

    IIRC I had some problem like that when I first got my 2018 TRDOR, but they went away after I set up Bluetooth correctly. I don't remember what precedence occurs when two registered phones happen to be in the vehicle at the same time. I know only one of them works. Don't know if either of these scenarios fits your case.

    It’s a setting on your phone for email and you must give permission to share info. Once I did that texts came on screen no problem. It’s not in email, sorry. It’s under your IM settings on your iPhone. Mine is a xsmax so should be the same

    I have an Android phone myself, but I believe for iPhones you need to enable "show notifications" under your phone's Bluetooth settings in addition to the pairing steps.
