Can anybody please recommend a good/sufficient/inexpensive code scanner for a 1999 T4R SR5? I see one at Harbor Freight -- OBD II & CAN Deluxe Scan Tool -- for $69.99 (with coupon). Are there better/cheaper ones?
    Thank you!

I just got one from Harbor Freight, but then I discovered those little Blue Tooth things that can be used with android phones. The idea looks very attractive -- having this tool always with you instead of a bulky device. I haven't even opened the HF's box, thinking that I can return it. Does anybody have one of those Blue Tooth scanners? How are they compared to "real things"?

Yup, torque app and a bluetooth dongle. Been using it for several years now. I have no idea how it compares to the "real thing", but it works great for pulling and clearing codes. I've used it on drives, too, to monitor whatever.

Thanks Utah! This is so amazing -- a tiny thing and a phone (which is always in a pocket) replaced a bulky and expensive thing. So the HF unit is going back to the store.
