Thanks I ordered it yesterday. What did you clean the screen with prior to putting on the protector?

That is the hardest part. I used a Microsoft rag and a little of glass cleaner. The toughest part is putting it on without any air bubbles. I still have one or two but you cannot even see them. I’m not going to drive myself nuts to try and get it perfect. All I wanted was just to protect my screen so it does not get any scratches on it.

I ruined my radtech trying to get the bubbles out. They were awful I must have done it wrong

Yes they are a pain putting on. Comparing both I bought. The Jetech from Amazon has a clearer screen but it’s for a tablet. You can see on the pic I posted has a little hole to the right of it for the tablet. If you look closely on the pic I have posted the screen protector is wider than the 4runner screen. Which don’t look bad but I did not want to trim it.

I can’t believe all the discussion about the computer screen. Haha, I’m really in another generation, I guess.

To replace it my understanding is around $4600. Toyota had a good idea for having a non glare screen. They must have never tested it for scratch resistance. One should not have to worry about such a thing but at that cost people need to be informed. My dealer now leaves the shipping screen cheap plastic cover on until vehicle delivery

Just start on the one side with the protector but make sure sure you’re screen is clean. Just take a credit card and slide it over it while you are putting it on. That helps with getting the bubbles out. If you are not happy with the install you can pull it back off till you are happy. Don’t let it drive you nuts. I’m fussy and I have 2 or 3 in the screen small but you cannot even see them.

Welcome to the madhouse. The ORP and the 4WD LE are good choices. The main differences are the handling (KDSS or not in the ORP and the XREAS in the LE) and the 4WD features (locker on the ORP vs the LE's "AWD"). Many LE owners end up swapping out the 20" wheels for something smaller, but in either case you should end up with a good vehicle. Happy hunting and hope you enjoy it.

The air bubbles is most likely dust particles … you need scotch tape to blot the area then lay screen protector as you go.

I had the same screen in several Tacoma’s and now my 4runner. 10+ years with these screens and I’ve never scratched one. Ha I’m kinda stumped, too. Sure, a grain of sand stuck in a detailing towel is gonna scratch it. But I use a clean towel and never had a problem.
