Same only with Spy  and when wearing, put the bag in the cup holder, since those are rarely used.

Since I do not have HomeLink in my 2016 Trail, I have a garage door opener taped in place in the upper cubbie. In the lower I have an anti-slip car dash sticky gel pad and it for the most part holds my sunglasses from sliding out. I like to keep my cars clutter free.

Anyone come up with a sticky backed rubber mat to put in there to keep stuff from sliding?

I keep a small spiral notepad with a ball point pen clipped in the spiral in the bottom slot. I use the pad to keep track of odometer, date, whatever maintenance I did or fuel I bought, and the price. Not a lot of detail, but enough to answer the “how long ago did I <blah blah blah> ?” questions. Nothing else fits in there (unlike the glovebox) so the notepad is easy to get to and doesn’t get smushed.

Does your brake controller have a manual lever to apply the trailer brakes separately and, if so, how easy is it to access with a soda in the cupholder? Does the shifter cause any problems accessing the controller?

Yes, it's in the form of a lever and not the sliding type.
I usually just drink from 12oz. cans but, anything bigger goes in the other cup holder.
Access to the controller is easier with the shifter in "D" or "S4"

Side note. When I apply the manual lever, to see if I can get my trailer tires to do a skid test, some of the nanny lights freak out. Anyone heard of this?

Folded up napkins in the top, Leatherman in bottom, dipping sauce in the one between the shifter and 4wd selector knob.

The coin holder from the Tacoma fits great in the center console, on the little shelf thingy... I have the center console OCD divider and the shelf as well, but I just trimmed the OCD so I could still use the factory supplied ledge thingy LOL

I currently have a rental or I'd show a picture of what I'm talking about..

    Cool,
I also keep my change in the center console. I keep Ricola in my Meso Bucket.

    Just a couple of guesses.

Deceleration of the rig without operating any OEM inputs (throttle, brake pedal, transmission selector) may be confusing the onboard computer.

Sudden high amperage draw to actuate the trailer brake (could be 20 or 30 amps) with its associated dip in voltage, may be causing some momentary computer input errors from its sensors.

Try applying the brakes more slowly and see what happens.

The alternator/regulator won’t ramp up quickly enough to handle that quick spike in power draw (especially if the RPM is low). The battery should be able to fill the gap, but if it’s old and tired, it may not be able to keep up.

Ok..... This has got to be the best cheap mod I have done so far. (except for my free rock sliders that I fabricated) Must have USB fast charger from Amazon with volt meter for 16 bucks! Changed out 2 of my 12v cigarette lighters because who needs 5 of them?

I used the top smaller cubby for hand sanitizer (for after handling gas pumps) and a mini Kershaw blade. The bottom cubby holds my Plantronics bluetooth ear piece case.
