I was told by my dealership that your vin must be a pro to purchase parts!
This is why I suggest getting a pro vin off of ebay or other & ordering parts online!
Easy way to get around that...

The below link is where I have found some of the best prices on TRD parts; however, their site says this Part Number is not for sale:

    https://toyotaparts.bochtoyotasouth.com/

Where are some of the other places that offer good prices on TRD parts?

Longo is my local dealer (well, until I move to CO in a few days) and they seem to be very friendly the few times I’ve worked with them.

Couldn't you just go into a show room, write down a Pro VIN and boom, you got the keys to the castle? I mean the VIN is just there out in the open?

I found a used 4R pro on line and wrote down the vin in-case they asked for it.
I figured with a new 4R it may show as not registered yet.

Mine was a waste of money. Day I got the pro I ordered the stock rails! They sat on my garage floor for a week and the pro rack grew on me. I find its easier with more tiedown points to secure stuff for those of us who would like but not need a full rack. I wasted money as lost when selling the stock ones

That’s a nice thread where we learned which bolts, washers and brackets to use. But it’s a long thread. That’s why I posted the info in this thread. I purchased mine used and it came with no bolts, washers or brackets. Perhaps someone who purchased new can chime in with what came with it.

    Just got new rack.
Came with hardware. It appears they don’t use the brackets anymore. Just bolts and washers.
No installation instructions came with rack. Just crossbar instructions. I have 8 foam washers with 2-sided tape on one side and 8 fiber washers.
Won’t be installing this till end of week. Wife backed into a bollard so 4r is in body shop..

good luck its easy install assemble the rack first
the washers with tape is for bottom of the rack where the holes are for the bolts to go through, fiber washers are for the top of the rack under the screw or bolt heads

Longo Toyota. (post #4) No proof requested.
Only $35 shipping to NY. I was expecting for them to either cancel the sale (no Pro) or jack-up the shipping $$

I’m installing it now. After removing oem rack I see there are none of those brackets..
I thought those were to hold on the ‘blanks’ you would have without any rack. More research.
