I drive a 1999 Toyota 4Runner SR5...Can anyone help me troubleshoot an issue after getting a brake job done at a local garage? Blew a Caliper and got new Calipers, rotors, pads and hoses on each side of the front. Usually do this job myself, but work and the weather had me in a pinch. Left the shop today and halfway home, I noticed and heard a scrapping sound coming from the driver side front wheel. Got home parked it and then took it out around the block to see if "seating the brakes" was the issue, but it got worse. Sounds like metal scraping a long with a plastic bag stuck.. if that makes sense. I have a 36 month/50,000 mile warranty. Any suggestions on what to do or does anyone have any idea of the culprit? THANK YOU in advance

I wonder if he put the metal clips on the pads wrong and it’s scraping against the rotor

That's one of the things I could think of! That or maybe the dust shield are the only things I can think of

Take a long Screwdriver and tap through the wheel to push the backing plate back That usually fixes without taking The wheel off
